shiploverny > In one corner of the main entrance is the Shore Excursion desk and another set of original doors that has been recovered in laminate but retains original etched glass.

shiploverny > Near the shore excursion desk is a case with menus. There are no choices, just a set menu. The main course of tonight's dinner is "Chicken Balls & Deep Fried Eggplant with Spicy, Sweet & Sour Sauce Served with Garlic Rice".

shiploverny > This rather austere former tourist-class staircase has been re-decorated but retains original chrome railings and a charming backlit mirror in the corner of the landing. Originally it would have been panelled in wood veneer, but that was removed or covered over in the Carnival era.

shiploverny > A similar, but more elaborate detail - this time with a bit of the original veneer still intact - can be found in the old first-class stairway, which we're taking up one deck to Upper Deck where most of the main public rooms are located.

shiploverny > The Sports Bar and Discoteque is the forwardmost major public room. It used to be the first-class Drawing Room and Club Room which were combined during the Carnival years.

shiploverny > The original ceiling finishes and a few bits of original veneer remain among Carnival-era decor. The raised area wih the bar was originally the Club Room, closed off by a solid bulkhead, while the main space was the Drawing Room.
